Welcome to Great Limpopo or Peace Park
Great Limpopo or the Peace Park.
On Great-Limpopo.com you are in direct contact with the safari operators and related service providers. Great-Limpopo.com co-operates with SafariLodges.com on this site. Limpopo is a river that begins in Botswana and ends up in the Indian Ocean. The river forms the border between South Africa and its neighbouring countries in the north, Botswana and Zimbabwe. The river has not only given the name to the Limpopo Province of Southern Africa, it has also given the name to a new transfrontier park. This new national park is located in the north eastern corner of South Africa where the river is entering into Mozambique. Great Limpopo is also nicknamed the Peace Park, for its symbolic geographical position where the three countries are coming together. The park will cover areas in all three countries, Kruger National Park, Gonarezhou National Park and a new park in Mozambique. The project to start up this new transfrontier park is currently facing financial problems, mostly on the Zimbabwean side. The river is well known for its crocodiles and big herds of Elephants. If you would like to visit the area where the new park will be established, we recommend you to travel to the northern part of Kruger National Park. We advise you to " Register " some few contact details, and you will be able to send booking enquiries to safari operators or other service providers in the area. When you have register with SafariLodges.com you have an account, " My Safari " that will work like your booking office. All your enquiries and offers can be managed form one place, which will simplify your co-ordination of tours, activities and accommodations.
